Security Token FAQ's
What is security Token ?
  The Security Token is a small electronic device that generates a new security code every 30 seconds. If you have been assigned the Security Token you would be required to key-in the 6 digit Security Code, being displayed in your security token, every time you login and place order through your Indiabulls Internet Trading Account / Power Indiabulls (PIB). You would also be required to quote this security code while placing orders over phone at your Service Branch.
Why I am not asked to enter the Security Code ?
Security Code option is only applicable for those who have received the Securit Token. If you haven’t received the Security Token and wish to opt for it, kindly contact the Customer Care at 022-61446300 or email at helpdesk@indiabulls.com.
I have forgotten to carry my Security Token along with me and now I want to place a trade, what should I do?

If you have forgotten to carry your Security Token and you wish to place an order through phone or website/PIB, you can call the Customer Care Helpdesk at 022-61446300 and ask for a temporary passcode. The Customer Care Helpdesk will issue you a temporary passcode that can be used in place of Security Token for 2 trading days. Please note that our Customer Care Helpdesk would send the passcode immediately, as an SMS, to your Mobile phone number registered in our records. In case you do not have a Mobile number registered in our records, you must get your mobile number updated in our records immediately. Please also note that our Customer Care Helpdesk would only issue the passcode once it has authenticated you.

What needs to be done, in case I lose my Security Token ?
In case you have lost your Security Token, please call the Customer Care Helpdesk immediately at 022-61446300 and report the loss. This will ensure that your Security Token is not misused. The Customer Care Helpdesk would also get a new security token dispatched to your correspondence address registered with us. Please note that you would be charged Rs 300 for the new security token. The Customer Care Helpdesk would also issue you a temporary passcode that can be used in place of security code till the time you receive the new security token.
What is Temporary Passcode ?
In case you have forgotten or lost your security Token, you can call the helpdesk at 022-61446300 and place a request to generate a temporary passcode. You can then, enter the Temporary passode in lieu of Security Code for your trading activities. Note! Temporary passcode is generated for a certain period of time. Once the time duration is passed, the temporary passcode gets disabled and you no longer use it for your trading activities.
What needs to be done, in case I find my Security Token after I place Forgot Token request ?
In case, you get back your Security Token after placing Forgot Token request, you cannot use the Security Token till the time, the temporary passcode is active. Once temporary passcode gets expired, you can use the Security Token for your trading activities.
What needs to be done, in case I find my Security Token after I place Lost Token request ?
In case, you get back your Old Security Token after placing Lost Token request, you cannot use it for your trading activities. You will only be able to login / place an order by using the Temporary passcode or the new Security Token dispatched to you. You must, however, return the old security token to our Customer Care Helpdesk.
On placing the order, the system displays message “Please enter the correct six digit security code.”
This message comes when you have entered the wrong Security Code at the time of placing the order. If such a message is observed, kindly re-enter the Security Code or wait for the Security Code to change and then, enter the new one.
On placing the order, the system displays message “ Security Token has been disabled due to multiple invalid attempts kindly contact helpdesk at (022)-61446300.”
This message comes when you enter wrong Unique Security Code consecutively for 10 times due to which the Security Token gets suspended and hence, you are not able to place the order now. In such scenario, you can contact Customer Care to re-activate the Security Token.
How would I know that the Security Token provided to me is not working ?
In the following scenarios the Security Token provided to you might not be working:
  1. If you are repeatedly unable to login to your Trading Website/ PIB inspite of entering the same code as being displayed on the security token screen.
  2. If your dealer repeatedly informs you that the security code provided by you is not allowing him to place a trade on your behalf while placing an order over the phone.
  3. The security token screen goes blank or is not displaying a 6 digit code.
You must get in touch with our Customer Care Helpdesk immediately to get this resolved.
 
Should I share my Security Token with anyone ?
The Security token is being issued to you for introducing increased security in your Trading Account. You must not share the security token with anyone including any Indiabulls Ventures Limited employee.

You must keep the security token with you carefully and protect it from unauthorized access.

The security token can be returned to the centralized Customer Care Helpdesk at the following address if the security token is not working or if the Trading Account is being closed.
